MY PLANNED GIFT:
A heartfelt gesture in memory of a loved one
This is my way to help provide care and services for those living with neurocognitive disorders.
PLANNED GIFT
A different way to ensure the sustainability of our mission and actions.
Charitable bequests, gifts of securities and gifts of life insurance are different ways to plan a donation that will benefit future generations. They are carefully-considered gifts from the heart. A gift that does not require you to mortgage your estate. Learn more about these options by contacting a professional advisor.
Who can consider a planned gift ?
Any donor who is concerned about Montrealers living with a neurocognitive disorder and for whom the cause is dear to their heart.
You can benefit from tax advantages according to the type of gift you choose. The Alzheimer Society of Montreal can assist you and provide any complementary information your professional advisor may request.
CHARITABLE BEQUEST
This is a gesture that would extend your involvement in the Alzheimer Society’s mission, beyond your lifetime.
You can designate a specific amount, a percentage, or the remainder of your estate to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal. You may name the Society as beneficiary of your RRSP/ RRIF, or bequeath a percentage of your retirement fund.
GIFT OF SECURITIES
Donating a gift of securities to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal is both simple and tax effective.
This option is convenient if you wish to contribute without using your cash reserves, or if you own stocks or other securities whose value has increased dramatically. No tax payable on capital gains is associated with gifted shares, eligible for a tax credit.
GIFT OF LIFE INSURANCE
Making a gift of life insurance is an accessible way to support the Society. It affords you the opportunity to have a significant impact on the future.
This type of donation is flexible as you may include the Society among your heirs, or transfer the ownership to the organization.
OTHER WAYS TO MAKE A DONATION
In addition to planned giving, there are other types of giving.
