• Are you available to travel across the Island of Montreal to meet with caregivers and lead in-person activities?
• Plan and lead six (06) in-person information and support groups for family caregivers throughout the year
• Provide practical support and information to family caregivers based on their roles and the progression of the disease
• Discuss and share concrete strategies regarding: neurocognitive disorders, adapting communication, understanding reactive behaviors, strategies for caregivers to take care of themselves, and available community resources
• Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners to fulfill the Society’s mission
• Collect information, statistics, and other data related to participants
• Training opportunities and mentorship programs (continuing education, person-centered approach, etc.)
• A dynamic and supportive work environment that gives you a sense of purpose
• Experience in group facilitation or training
• Interest in the fields of group facilitation, recreational programming, recreation therapy, special education, gerontology, health, and social work
• Significant experience and practical knowledge of issues related to family caregiving and/or neurocognitive disorders
• Proficiency with telecommunication tools (e.g., Zoom)
• Fluency in French and English is preferred to provide verbal support to non-French-speaking clients, who represent approximately 40% of the organization’s clientele
• Must own a vehicle or be able to travel regularly throughout the Island of Montreal to facilitate in-person group activities.
• Address: Various locations on the Island of Montreal: Sainte-Anne Hospital, Île Bizard, and other locations in the West Island of Montreal
• Option to work remotely for group preparation
• Contract type: permanent
• Schedule: 3 hours/week (1 hour of preparation and 2 hours of group facilitation)
• One session per week, during the day or in the evening, through the end of March.
• Possibility of facilitating other groups thereafter, depending on needs and availability.
