Our Story<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Alzheimer Society of Montreal was the first Alzheimer Society in Quebec. It was founded in 1981 by a small group of caregivers who wanted to increase access to information about cognitive disorders and support for families affected.<\/p>

For decades, the Alzheimer Society of Montreal has been at the forefront of providing information, education and support to people living with a neurocognitive disorder and their families. In particular, it helped found the Federation of Quebec Alzheimer Societies and created the first support group for people living with a neurocognitive disorder in Canada. In all its activities, the Alzheimer Society of Montreal advocates a person-centred approach.<\/p>

The Alzheimer Society of Montreal remains the reference point in Montreal for people living with a neurocognitive disorder, caregivers, healthcare professionals, organizations, and members of the public in search of resources and services.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
