\u00ab I first became aware of the Alzheimer Society of Montreal when my husband\u2019s neurologist suggested I should look into their services when David was diagnosed with Alzheimer\u2019s in 2018. The first activity David became involved with was their splendid Activity Centre in their headquarters where he was warmly welcomed. He always came home with a smile on his face and a different art project in his hands. We later went together to the Arts-Link program at the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, which was lots of fun and always fascinating. Through their training sessions, I, as David\u2019s caregiver, learned about the disease and how best to manage it. I followed that up by joining their support group meetings and their excellent one-on-one counselling service. All this help sustained David and I through our ups and downs with this disease. \n\nAlmost from the start, I decided to donate to the Alzheimer Society of Montreal through monthly payment because it\u2019s an easy way for me to do that.
